According to Judge, Bobby Beavis was “kind of an athletic kid” that lived three blocks from him while he was in college. Serving as inspiration for Butt-Head’s character was a 12-year-old who called himself “Iron Butt” because he claimed to never get injured from a kick to the posterior.

Looney Tunes cartoons are known for their wacky cartoon violence, like Wile E. Coyote running off cliffs and pianos falling on Sylvester’s head.

Pretty unrealistic stuff, however, Bugs Bunny and friends also relied on pretty realistic and grim violence for laughs back in the day. Which included a recurring joke depicting suicide by gun. Almost all of which have since been edited out.
