Ukrainian sources published footage in which Yevgeny Nuzhin, who fled from the front to the Armed Forces of Ukraine on September 4, was allegedly killed by Ukrainians.
“I thought that a long happy life was waiting for him. A month ago, on October 12, he gave an interview. Unknown people tracked him down in Kyiv,” the Ukrainian channel writes.
Yevgeny Nuzhin served 24 years in prison for a murder he committed in 1999.
Yevgeny Nuzhin, 55, was one of a number of prisoners who signed up with Wagner Group to have their sentences thrown out in exchange for service.
