The student would tell investigators that while he was on the dance floor, Hoover began to “twerk on him”, making him feel uncomfortable. Two people attempted to make the teacher stop, at one point, one of them even got between the teacher and the student.
The prom incident was not the first time Hoover had been arrested for misconduct. According to Taylor County Deputies, Hoover had previously been arrested for sexting an 18-year-old high school senior.
The student’s mother found the messages on the teen’s phone, which included a plan for the student to sneak into Hoover’s home while her husband was at work.
Hoover was arrested on September 7th and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and soliciting or engaging in lewd conduct with a student.
