A 31 second emotional rollercoaster of a video was released on Friday by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. The officers body cam footage shows the officers responding to a shooting at 12:30 p.m. on Aug. 6, outside the Orlando hotel in Florida.

I’m sure each time a police officer is called to the scene of a shooting they are secretly praying the situation is contained before they arrive. This time, the officer whose body cam footage you will see momentarily, wasn’t that lucky. It’s a situation every police officer prays they never find themselves in, although many eventually do.

What Happened To Dylan Michael Jimenez & Bryan Matthew Richardson on August 6th at the Orlando hotel.

A Sheriff’s deputy shot and killed, Bryan Matthew Richardson, 28, who was carrying a hand gun down, nearly to his knees and motioning to officers with his free hand that he was not a threat. All this, as he slowly made his way towards his severely injured younger brother, Dylan Michael Jimenez, 21, who was on the ground nearby, bleeding to death from a gunshot wound to the chest.

Both brothers Dylan Michael Jimenez, and Bryan Matthew Richardson, died after the incident, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said.

The sheriff’s office released the body camera video on Friday of deputies responding to a shooting at 12:30 p.m. Aug. 6 outside the Orlando hotel, where they found Jimenez wounded from a gunshot to his chest as a paramedic begins treatment.

What’s strange is, hearing the paramedic say the victim has a gunshot wound to the chest, is the only few seconds of this video which aren’t absolutely heartbreaking…. let that sink in.

I’ll describe the video for those who’d rather not watch a man lose his life.

The video begins with a deputy running up and speaking to a kneeling man, who claims to be a paramedic, treating a blurred out victim lying on the ground. According to the paramedic, the victim, Dylan Michael Jimenez has suffered a gunshot wound to the right side of his chest.

I find it odd that the cop proceeds to instruct the paramedic on how to be a paramedic. The only explanations I can think of are, either the cop wasn’t sure if the guy was truly a paramedic, which is possible considering he’s shirtless. The second option is the cop is a know-it-all, who enjoys bossing people around. After listening to the exchange between the two men, I’m leaning towards the second option.

This is where the Short video takes a turn for the worse!

A few seconds later we see Bryan Matthew Richardson come from the officers left. At the same time, a man behind Richardson begins yelling, “he’s got a gun”, as he points to Richardson.

Cops yell at Richardson to drop the gun, which Richardson appears to be complying with until a second officer grabs him, this split decision to grab Richardson is what ended up getting him killed in my opinion.

It seems as if, this wouldn’t have occurred, Richardson would’ve laid down his firearm, which honestly, he may not have realized he was still holding from to shootout that had taken place prior to cops arriving.

Richardson appears to be making an attempt to obey the officers command. He is also begging them not shoot him.

Less than a second later, the quick triggered officer would open fire, his panicked bullets ringing out as they extinguish Bryan Matthew Richardson’s life. Beside him, his 21 year old, younger brother, also bleeding out from a gunshot wound to the chest, would never recover from his injuries. On Aug 6, 2022, a pair of young brothers lost their lives, in the same dirty parking lot, of a cheap Florida hotel.

Watch the Graphic Video Below of a Florida deputy fatally shooting Bryan Richardson, while brother lay dying.

I’d like to start off with the obvious fact. Bryan Matthew Richardson was walking toward police officers carrying a handgun at the scene of a shooting. That decision basically signed his death warrant.

The only issue I have with these officers is how quickly they decided to kill Richardson. Of course, Monday morning quarterbacking is always so easy. However, in the same situation, I may have done exactly as these officers did, but I don’t think so.

Richardson appears to be in some form of shock to me. I’m no expert, but the way he casually walks towards officers holding a handgun seems almost zombie like. However, when he’s given commands, he appears to be following them until he is grabbed and shot.

Who in their right mind walks up to cops carrying a gun while holding up there free hand in that way? This guy's in shock!

I understand the body cam wearing cop becoming panicked and shooting once the other officer starts wrestling with Richardson. You have an unknown with a gun wrestling with a fellow officer. The officer could’ve been killed easily in that situation.

As I stated above, the decision to grab Bryan Richardson wasn’t the correct one, and it got this young man killed. A young man who was most likely still in shock after a shootout, in which his younger brother was shot.

Ultimately, a series of poor judgement calls by both the victim and the responding officers turned a terrible scene into an absolute nightmare in the blink of an eye.

So, what do you think? Were the cops justified in killing Bryan Matthew Richardson While his brother, Dylan Michael Jimenez, bled out in a hotel parking lot?
