According to a Twitter account which posts Russian News stories going by the username @runews, someone has hacked the largest taxi service in Russia, Yandex Taxi. The prankster ordered every available taxi In Russia to one address, located on Kutuzovsky Prospekt.

One of the taxi drivers uploaded a video which shows the traffic jam the hacker caused in the middle of Moscow. Of course, as of now, it’s not known who was behind the hack.

“The security service promptly stopped attempts to artificially accumulate cars. Drivers spent about 40 minutes in traffic due to fake orders. The issue of compensation will be resolved in the very near future.”

The company also stated, in order to stop such incidents in the future,

“the algorithm for detecting and preventing such attacks has already been improved.”
